Nevada wastewater operator practice test
Nevada's wastewater certification program runs the standardized ABC/WPI exams: 110 questions — 100 scored plus 10 unscored pretest — with a three-hour limit in Nevada. TradeQBank's wastewater bank is built to that same WPI blueprint and format. Grade I is the entry grade. This page covers wastewater only; Nevada's drinking water pages do not name their exam developer, so we make no claim about them. Start with the free 25-question wastewater sample.
Nevada operator certification at a glance
- Program: Nevada's wastewater operator certification, administered by the Nevada Water Environment Association (NWEA) as the state program administrator.
- Exam: the standardized ABC/WPI exam forms; the program's own FAQ describes the forms' 10 extra unscored questions and ABC's exam development process, in which Nevada participates.
- Format in Nevada: 110 questions (100 scored, 10 pretest), multiple choice, three-hour limit.
- Entry grade: Grade I for Wastewater Treatment (grades run I–IV). If you pass Grade I before meeting the education and experience requirements, Nevada issues a Restricted Certification until they are met.

Two honest limits. First, this page covers wastewater treatment only: the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection's drinking water pages describe computerized and written exams without naming ABC or WPI as their developer, so TradeQBank does not claim its water banks match a Nevada drinking water exam. Second, Nevada's collection system operator exam is a separate standardized exam; TradeQBank does not sell a collection-systems bank.

FAQ
Common questions
Does Nevada use the standardized ABC/WPI wastewater exams?
Yes. The state wastewater program administrator's FAQ describes each standardized exam form — including the 10 extra unscored questions ABC uses for exam development — and Nevada's ongoing participation in shaping the standardized certification exams.
What is the Nevada Grade I wastewater exam format?
110 questions total: 100 scored plus 10 unscored pretest questions, multiple choice with four options, and a three-hour limit in Nevada — the format TradeQBank's timed mock exam rehearses.
What is a Nevada Restricted Certification?
If you pass the Grade I exam before you have met the education and experience requirements, Nevada issues a Restricted Certification; it converts once the requirements are met. The program administrator makes all certification decisions.
