Utah wastewater operator practice test
Utah's Division of Water Quality states that its Wastewater Operator Certification Program uses standardized exams produced by Water Professionals International (WPI) — the exams TradeQBank's wastewater bank is built for, on the WPI 2025 Need-to-Know Criteria. Grade I is the entry grade. This page covers wastewater only: Utah's drinking water pages do not attribute their exams to WPI, so we make no claim about them. Two honest limits. First, this page covers wastewater treatment only: Utah's Division of Drinking Water describes its own exams without attributing them to WPI, so TradeQBank does not claim its water treatment or distribution banks match a Utah drinking water exam. Second, Utah also certifies wastewater collection operators on a separate WPI exam; TradeQBank does not sell a collection-systems bank.
Practice tests for other states
TradeQBank publishes a state page only where the state's own board confirms it uses the standardized WPI exams our banks are built to. Verified so far:

If your state isn't listed, the banks still rehearse the national WPI Class I blueprints — but check your board's exam provider before relying on that.
FAQ
Common questions
Does Utah use the WPI standardized wastewater exams?
Yes. Utah's Division of Water Quality states that its Wastewater Operator Certification Program uses standardized exams produced by Water Professionals International (WPI), formerly the Association of Boards of Certification (ABC), and links WPI's 2025 Need-to-Know Criteria.
Why is there no Utah page for the water treatment exam?
Because we could not verify the match. Utah's Division of Drinking Water publishes its own exam descriptions and study help without attributing the drinking water exams to WPI, so — unlike wastewater — we do not claim our water banks match a Utah drinking water exam.
What does Utah Grade I wastewater certification require?
Under Utah rule R317-10, Grade I requires 13 qualification points: a high school diploma or GED provides 12 points, and one year of operating experience provides 1 point. Utah DEQ makes all certification decisions.
