Mississippi wastewater operator practice tests

Mississippi's wastewater operator exams are developed by ABC Testing, a service of Water Professionals International — MDEQ says so on its own site: 'MDEQ's Wastewater Operator Certification exams are developed by our testing partner and industry leader in wastewater certification, ABC Testing, a service of Water Professionals International,' with Need-to-Know Criteria published for each exam level. That covers Wastewater Operator Classes I–IV and Collection Systems Classes I & II. This page covers wastewater only: no Mississippi source attributes the drinking water exams to ABC/WPI, so we make no claim there. Start with the free 25-question wastewater sample.

Read this before you buy

This page covers wastewater and collection only. Mississippi drinking water certification (Classes A–E) is run by the Mississippi State Department of Health's Bureau of Public Water Supply. Its official PSI bulletin confirms computer-based delivery and that the ABC Formula & Conversion Table is provided at the exam — but no MSDH source attributes the drinking water exams themselves to ABC/WPI, and being handed a formula table is not the same as sitting an ABC exam. TradeQBank therefore does not claim its water treatment or distribution banks match a Mississippi drinking water exam.

Practice tests for other states

TradeQBank publishes a state page only where the state's own board confirms it uses the standardized WPI exams our banks are built to. Verified so far:

State facts checked October 26, 2026 against MDEQ's wastewater operator resources page (mdeq.ms.gov) and the Mississippi State Department of Health's water operator exam handbook (msdh.ms.gov). Source: MDEQ — wastewater operator resources. If your state isn't listed, the banks still rehearse the national WPI Class I blueprints — but check your board's exam provider before relying on that.

FAQ

Common questions

Does Mississippi use the ABC/WPI wastewater exams?

Yes. MDEQ states: 'MDEQ's Wastewater Operator Certification exams are developed by our testing partner and industry leader in wastewater certification, ABC Testing, a service of Water Professionals International,' and it publishes the Need-to-Know Criteria for each exam level — the blueprints TradeQBank's wastewater and collection banks are built to.

Which Mississippi wastewater classes does TradeQBank cover?

Wastewater Operator Class I and Class II, and Collection Systems Class I — the levels our 326-question banks are built for. MDEQ also certifies Wastewater Classes III and IV and Collection Class II, which are beyond our current banks.

Does TradeQBank cover the Mississippi drinking water exams?

No — honestly. Drinking water certification sits with the Mississippi State Department of Health (Classes A–E). Its PSI bulletin shows the ABC formula table is provided during the exam, but no official source attributes the exams themselves to ABC/WPI, so we don't claim our water banks match them.

Is TradeQBank part of MDEQ or WPI?

No. TradeQBank is independent practice material built to the same published Need-to-Know blueprints. Certification decisions are made only by MDEQ.
